This course is suitable if you are currently working as a teaching assistant or in other educational settings, and aims to equip you with the knowledge, skills and expertise required for working with children of primary age. The Foundation Degree is specifically designed for support staff working in education or those interested in developing a route into teaching. On successful completion of this course you will have enhanced your knowledge of education to help develop your career or move into a teaching-related role. You can also progress onto a third year top up degree, delivered at the University of Bedfordshire, to achieve an Applied Education Studies BA (Hons) Degree. With further study you can also enter teacher training and gain Qualified Teacher Status.
