Course Summary

The Higher National Diploma (HND) in Creative Media Production (Visual Effects pathway) at Morley College London enables you to learn both practical skills and theoretical thinking through exciting and challenging projects which cover a wide range of modern digital media technologies - all taught in specialist studios with specialist equipment. Employing ‘real-world’ assignments - developed and taught by tutors working in the Creative Media industry - our curriculum will enable you to push at the boundaries of your creativity in Creative Media Production while gaining a solid foundation of professional techniques. The second year of the course puts great emphasis on fulfilling successful projects which have been worked on through successful collaboration as well as individually. It seeks to enhance the personal professional development skills expected in the industry. Going beyond a solely practical and technical foundation, you will be encouraged to explore innovative and imaginative design processes to find your own unique voice and expand your skill level. You will learn to translate your ideas through independent research, experimentation and reflective processes and analyse the work of your peers and industry leaders. Upon completion of the course, you will be well-positioned for the next step in your career: If you want to continue your education further, students who successfully complete their HND at Morley College London may progress directly to the final year of a BA at University (refer to individual universities for their entry requirements); start your own business; or progress directly into paid employment. The HND Creative Media Production (Visual Effects) course is designed to provide you with the skills you will need to succeed in the media industry.
