Our Financial Mathematics BSc (Hons) degree is co-taught by the School of Business and Economics - one of the UK's Top 10 business schools.

The Department is located in the Schofield Building, which is based centrally on the University campus. The building has recently undergone a £4.3 million refurbishment to equip it with dedicated resources for mathematics students.
As a mathematics student you will benefit from 24/7 access to state-of-the-art computer labs in the Schofield Building and also from our co-location with the Mathematics Learning Support Centre.
Our Financial Mathematics degree carries the option of a year-long industry placement or studying abroad with one of our partner universities, enabling you to broaden your horizons and gain valuable skills and experience.

Course Details – Assessment Method
A variety of assessment methods are used on this course.
Depending on the nature of the material, some modules are assessed by a mixture of coursework and examination (for example 25% coursework and 75% examination), whilst other modules are assessed 100% by coursework or 100% by examination.
Coursework is based on a variety of tasks including individual essays, projects, laboratory work, contribution in tutorials, group work and presentations.

Applicants taking the Welsh Baccalaureate Advanced Diploma will be asked to achieve the A level requirements for their course as part of their qualification.
