Are you socially engaged, media conscious, inventive, and fascinated by how the world works?
Have you wondered who has the power, how they got it, and what they do with it? Are you interested in new forms of political protest and engagement, from awareness-raising hashtags to demonstrations on the streets? From workers’ rights and smashing the patriarchy, to environmental activism and calls for sustainability?
This course positions politics in its sociological contexts, to enable you to explore the emergence of popular movements, feminism and gender politics, political radicalism and reaction, and established forms of political participation and governance.
**Combined Honour Awards**
At Bath Spa University many of our undergraduate programmes can be combined, so you don’t have to limit yourself to one subject. If you choose to study a combined award then in Year One you’ll start by studying both subjects in equal depth, then from Year Two you can choose whether to continue with an equally joint course, or a Major/Minor route.
