The Environmental Geoscience programme provides students with the key knowledge and skills necessary to understand how the most important aspects of planet Earth work. You will study modules in geology, geophysics, physical geography, climate science and modelling. Acceptable sciences: Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geology, Geography, Environmental Science, Applied Science, Use of Mathematics.
For applicants from England: Where a science has been taken at A level (Chemistry, Biology or Physics), a pass in the Science practical of each subject will be required.
Not accepted without Advanced Highers at ABB including two science subjects
Considered if taking a relevant subject. 45 Level 3 credits in graded units, including 30 at Distinction and a further 15 with at least Merit. 15 Distinctions are required in each of two sciences. GCSE English and Mathematics grade C/4 or above also required. Students will be invited to attend interview.
ABB including two science subjects
Applicants who offer the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and meet our offer criteria will be made the standard offer, plus an alternative offer. This will be at one A Level grade lower plus a grade A in the EPQ, for example the offer would be ABB or BBB plus A in the EPQ.

If this is your first degree and you are a Home student applying for entry in 2021, you do not have to pay your fees upfront. Instead, you can take out a tuition fee loan which is paid straight to the University. This is available to most students, no matter what their household income.
