Computer Science is a broad area which includes designing and building hardware and software systems for a wide range of purposes and processing, structuring and managing various kinds of information. Covering all aspects of computer science, including the underlying principles and theory, this programme will ensure that when you graduate you will know what is and isn’t possible with computers and be able to find solutions to the problems you will encounter in your professional life. Computer Science with Software Development (G610) is for those wanting to specialise in development, updating and widespread application of complex software. This programme is accredited by BCS, the Chartered Institute for IT for the purposes of fully meeting the academic requirement for registration as a Chartered IT Professional. This programme is available with a Year in China. The Year in China allows undergraduate students the opportunity to spend one year at our joint venture, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University (XJTLU), following XJTLU's BA China Studies degree classes. XJTLU is a fully English-speaking university, located in Suzhou. Standard Qualification Requirements

Considered if taking a relevant subject. 45 Level 3 credits at Distinction.

AAB in any A-level subjects. If no mathematical subject is taken at A-level, we require GCSE Maths Grade B (6) or above and the you will be required to take the Indicative Maths test. For applicants from England: Where a science has been taken at A level (Chemistry, Biology or Physics), a pass in the Science practical of each subject will be required.

AAB in any Advanced Higher subjects. If no mathematical subject is taken at Advanced Higher, we require GCSE Maths Grade B (6) or above and the you will be required to take the Indicative Maths test.

Applicants who offer the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and meet our offer criteria will be made the standard offer, plus an alternative offer. This will be at one A Level grade lower plus a grade A in the EPQ, for example the offer would be AAB or ABB plus A in the EPQ.

35 points, including 5 in HL Maths (if only SL Maths, 5 in SL Maths plus math test).

If this is your first degree and you are a Home student applying for entry in 2021, you do not have to pay your fees upfront.
