Merge physical theatre, movement and circus to create exciting new work. - Develop an innovative and imaginative approach to circus and physical theatre. - Expand your knowledge of performance styles and approaches to integration. - Establish a strong technical and theoretical foundation for performance. This unique course is run in partnership with Circomedia, a leading centre that has been at the forefront of contemporary circus and physical theatre education for over 30 years. One of Circomedia’s core educational beliefs is that minds and personalities need developing just as much as physical skills. That's why they nurture their students to take an imaginative and forward-thinking approach to training and performance. Your training will expose you to a wide range of disciplines and styles. Alongside a grounding in physical technique and skill, the course also explores the various cultural, historical and social contexts in which these disciplines sit. You'll learn the technical, practical and logistical elements of working professionally as a performer. This includes managing, and promoting your own work.nd equipment.

Course Details - Modules

Modules are self-standing units of study, and you earn credits when you successfully complete them. As a full-time circus student you will take 120 credits each year (part-time study is not available on this course). All modules are compulsory but you will specialise in particular circus skills with modules. You're assessed in various ways to examine your range of abilities and skills. You're set coursework and assessed through public performances, creative project development, artistic and theoretical presentations, written feedback and reflection, personal training logs, practical tests, research and essay work.

A levels DDD accepted. It is preferable that these should include dance or drama or theatre studies, but other evidence of commitment to and understanding of performance can be presented.

Grade Merit is preferred.

Extended Diploma MMP accepted and should include dance or drama or theatre studies, but other evidence of commitment to and understanding of performance can be presented.

Applicants should demonstrate the self- discipline required by a tough physical training regime. Show prior training in, or experience of circus, dance, gymnastics, theatre or a high-energy sport
