Course Details - Modules

The BA year is about drawing together everything you’ve learned, exploring it, refining it and developing it into something presentable in a professional context. Everything you’ll do is geared towards practical industry experience and preparing for a career as a circus theatre artist. You’ll create a portfolio of work that has particular professional markets in mind, and critically evaluate your work within this context. You’ll experience a realistic industry environment as you create a full-length production that tours a variety of venues in the UK. The Practice As Research module will encourage you to question your own processes and encourage you to holistically integrate your technical training and creative practice. This research feeds into your final project, where we challenge you to make a major piece of work for public performance, document the process and be able to articulate, analyse and interrogate your creative ideas in a viva-voce presentation.
