This course explores the core ideas of economics and applies those ideas to businesses and the business environment, preparing you for a variety of stimulating careers. You’ll develop an in-depth understanding of the economic factors that influence business success and decision-making. You’ll combine this with the analytical, computing and communication skills required by employers in both the private and public sectors. Optional modules allow you to explore the topics that suit your interests and career plans, including starting your own business, strategic management and organisational behaviour, as well as environmental and labour economics. You’ll explore different approaches to economics in a challenging and supportive environment at Leeds University Business School, home to the Applied Institute for Research in Economics.
