Layer specialist sound composition, recording and editing skills upon a theoretical context with our Sound for Film & Games Foundation Degree. This practical course will ensure you develop a well-rounded understanding of sound as you create sound for the film and games industries, making tracks that spark success.
Study specialist modules that encompass the diverse disciplines within audio such as composition skills, sound recording and sound design. You will produce audio for computer games, moving images and apps, creating vibrant tracks that strike a chord with listeners and engage them on a deep emotional level.
You’ll leverage Digital Audio Workstations (DAWs) and Digital Audio Editors (DAEs) to compose non-linear music and synchronise sound to the moving image. You’ll learn to edit midi files, tweak sound patterns and events and layer sounds to convey emotion. You’ll also acquire a theoretical understanding of audio and industry best practices.
We place a strong focus on personal development so you’ll identify areas for improvement as well as a personal area of interest that you’ll explore further, in-line with your career aspirations.
