As part of your foundation year, you’ll: - Study four sport-related modules -These will introduce you to the subjects included on each of our routes, from sport development and sport and exercise science to coaching and lifelong health - Study two additional modules that will help you develop the academic and study skills needed to successfully transition from school or the workplace to higher education As part of your course, you’ll: - Develop the skills and knowledge to become a confident sports coach - Enhance your key coaching skills by understanding your participants and helping them to achieve their potential within their sport - Learn how to plan, deliver and review both short and long-term training programmes - Analyse sporting performance and develop your coaching techniques using specialist coaching equipment and software - Apply ideas from the course during organised placements
