This integrated masters course provides the ideal platform to gain broad-based technical experience that will enable you to enter design, construction or operations roles within the civil engineering industry. As part of this course, you’ll: - Build the foundations for a diverse and interesting future in civil engineering - Develop knowledge of the mathematical and scientific principles and methodologies which underpin civil engineering - Apply your knowledge to real-world problems - Learn to produce innovative solutions using technical literature and industry codes of standard and practice using investigation and evaluation of design-related engineering issues - Gain detailed knowledge and technical proficiency in health and safety, sustainable, environmental and economic development, and the frameworks in which they operate - Equip yourself with the problem-solving skills to work on projects such as designing large structures and infrastructure including roads, water supply and drainage, bridges, airports, tunnels, and sea and flood defences
