- The Business School in common with the University of Law is primarily focused on the student learning experience as evidenced by the University's NSS scores. It builds on this intensive and interactive learning experience by providing significant contact hours and by each student being able to access their personal tutor.
- The three-year course offers students the opportunity to practice employability and life skills through its practical and vocational curriculum that challenges and supports students in their achievement.
- Students may subject to approval switch their degree programme at the end of their Year 1 from Finance with Accounting to Accounting with Finance
- The student experience focus is that graduates should be career ready; they should have the knowledge, skills and attributes that employers demand. The Business School offers students opportunities at every level to learn and to practice employability and life skills through its practical and vocational curriculum that challenges and supports students in their achievement.
- Teaching staff have practical professional experience; links with professional bodies and students are taught in group sizes that encourages a good learning relationship with their lecturers - such a relationship is essential for student success.
- ULBS is a member of both The Association To Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and The Business Graduates Association (BGA) which together provide ULBS students with opportunities and networks to aid their professional development
