You’ll be taught critical thinking, drawing, animation, digital crafts, storytelling methods and presentation techniques. The course encourages you to learn through making. You’ll have access to all our newly refurbished, industry-standard workshops, enabling you to test and prototype in many combinations. Group and individual assignments will develop your skills in all forms of applied image making. You’ll learn to create and apply content to images to reach diverse audiences. Live projects will develop your understanding of real-world situations. Staff practitioners and alumni networks offer insight and contacts with international creative practice, including optional study visits and placements.

Standard Qualification Requirements

The preferred entry route for this course is for applicants to be taking a Foundation Diploma in Art & Design, or the recognised equivalent. Applicants will need 112-128 tariff points from recognised level 3 qualifications. Plus GCSE (A*–C or comparable numeric scores under the newly reformed GCSE gradings): five subjects including English and Maths (Key Skills Level 2 may be used in lieu of GCSE English and Maths).
