**About this course**
On this course, you’ll explore practical filmmaking and develop a range of skills to work professionally in film. Through group and individual projects, you’ll create films and pitches and gain practical production knowledge in the fields of fiction, documentary and artists film.
You’ll be taught by industry professionals through workshops, lectures, tutorials, production meetings, screenings and reviews. You’ll study film histories, the directing of actors, studio and location work, running a set, production, post-production, lighting and cinematography, sound recording and design.
Two large scale projects will culminate in your graduation film and provide material for your graduation portfolio.

Standard Qualification Requirements
Applicants will need 112-128 tariff points from recognised Level 3 qualifications or recognised equivalent including an art or design subject.
Plus GCSE (A*–C or comparable numeric scores under the newly reformed GCSE gradings): five subjects including English Language or equivalent. Key Skills and Functional Skills Level 2 accepted in lieu of GCSE English and Maths.
