Course Details – Assessment Method

Teaching includes lectures, seminars and tutorials, practical classes and integrated fieldwork study. We place emphasis on learning through experiences and there is field work and practical classes at all stages of your learning, including UK, European and non-European field work. Assessment is varied and your assignments may replicate tasks you are likely to face in the workplace. These include environmental report writing, role-playing exercises, presentations and environmental project exercises.

Standard Qualification Requirements

An A Level (or equivalent) in any subject is considered but we prefer one or more from Geography, Biology, Chemistry, Environmental Science, Geology or Physics.

UCAS points from a minimum of 2 A-Levels or equivalent Level 3 qualifications.

Equivalent of 96 UCAS points with Science or Mathematics or Geography or Psychology with a minimum of a grade C.

Applied Science or Science based course required. Equivalent of 96 UCAS points

Minimum of 5 in Standard Level English Language, Maths and Geography or 4 at Higher Level

Equivalent of 96 UCAS points to include Geography, Geology or a related discipline are required at a minimum of a grade H3.

T Levels T Levels are an alternative to A levels, apprenticeships and other further education courses. T Level focuses on vocational skills and can help students into skilled employment, higher education and/or apprenticeships. Students who study T Level spend 80% of the course in the classroom, learning the skills that employers need. The other 20% is a meaningful industry placement, where they put these skills into action. T Levels are the equivalent to three A levels and we recognise the UCAS tariff points they attract in line with other qualifications that aid progression to higher education.
