**Why choose this course?**
– You’ll perform regularly in public at The Rose Theatre, the International Youth Arts Festival and at national fringe festivals. These projects will develop your project management skills.
– A work placement will give you valuable and relevant experience. Recent students have been placed at BalletBoyz and The Place.
– Our brand new Town House building has a performance studio theatre and three large dance studios, equipped to professional standards with fully sprung floors, mirrors and barres.
**About this course**
If you’re considering a career in the performing arts, this combination of dance and drama is both artistic and practical.
You’ll be encouraged to develop your own identity in dance and as a theatre-maker, reflecting your own interests and career pathway. To prepare you for working in the performance industry, you’ll develop analytical, choreographic, directorial, ensemble and performance skills.
There are practical opportunities to master physical performance in both dance and drama. Workshops and active technique classes cover a wide range of performance styles. This includes popular and non- Western forms and reflects the professional practice you’ll experience in your career.
