Standard Qualification Requirements

Please note that A-level General Studies, Critical Thinking, Thinking Skills and Global Perspectives are not accepted by King's as one of your A levels. Must include Mathematics or Physics.

Must be combined with two Scottish Advanced Highers. We do not count the Higher and Advanced Higher in the same subject.

Access to HE Diploma in a relevant subject (Engineering, Mathematics, Science). Must include at least 15 Level 3 credits in Mathematics awarded at Distinction or 15 Level 3 credits in Physics awarded at Distinction.

Must be combined with three Scottish Highers. We do not count the Higher and Advanced Higher in the same subject. Must include grade A in Advanced Higher Mathematics or Physics.

Including 6,6,6 at Higher Level including HL6 in Mathematics or Physics. The total IB point score of 35 includes TOK/EE. Note: IB students studying the new Maths curriculum would be required to study Analysis and Approaches at Higher Level to meet the subject requirement for this programme
