Psychology is the study of people – what they do, think, perceive and feel. It helps us to answer many important questions about society by applying scientific principles to human behaviour. As a student on the Psychology with Clinical Psychology and a Placement Year programme, you spend a year working with practising Psychologists. Our Psychology with Clinical Psychology and a Placement Year degree is especially suited to you if you're thinking about a career in the health or social services. Psychology with Clinical Psychology and a Placement Year is a four-year programme. It is the same as the three-year programme except that in the third year you do project work with professional applied psychologists in organisations such as the NHS, the Prison Service or a research establishment. Placements are subject to availability, and you have to meet the required academic standards in your first and second years in order to participate. You complete your degree studies in the fourth year.
