You study modules in biomedical engineering, including digital technologies, biochemistry, electronics, molecular and cellular biology, robotics and engineering mathematics. You also undertake laboratory-based practical work in electronics and biology.
In your second and final years, you gain a deeper understanding of biomechanics, human physiology, bioinformatics and genomics, medical physics, programming and product development. You also complete a design or development-based engineering project.
You spend a year in industry gaining invaluable work experience and greatly enhancing your CV. You can also apply for a placement through our exchange agreement with Hong Kong City University. This takes place between your second and final years.
