The foundation year develops your understanding of mathematics and its applications, electromagnetics, programming and engineering principles. You also study university-level modules that prepare you for entry onto our full Biomedical Engineering degrees.
You study modules in biomedical engineering, including digital technologies, biochemistry, electronics, molecular and cellular biology, robotics and engineering mathematics. You also undertake laboratory-based practical work in electronics and biology.
In your second and final years, you gain a deeper understanding of biomechanics, human physiology, bioinformatics and genomics, medical physics, programming and product development. You also complete a design or development-based engineering project.
