Course Summary

**About Keele** Set in 600 acres of countryside in North Staffordshire, we have one of the largest and most beautiful campuses in Britain. We’re proud to be No.2 in England for Student Satisfaction with Course (Guardian University League Table, 2020), investing more than £140m in our campus in the last ten years, including £45m new science laboratories. In 2021 we were proud to be awarded Sustainability Institution of the Year at the prestigious Green Gown Awards as part of our mission to become a carbon neutral campus by 2030. We're committed to supporting you to achieve your career goals, and have a dedicated Careers and Employability team who can assist you to navigate your options beyond Keele. **Foundation Year** The Foundation Year provides students with the opportunity to study, in a university setting, the skills and subject knowledge required to progress to a wide range of degrees. After you have completed your Foundation Year, you could progress on to the Rehabilitation Science programme where you will investigate the many factors that influence rehabilitation management and its success as well as explore subjects including anatomy, physiology, human movement, exercise and interpersonal skills. **Rehabilitation and Exercise Science** Rehabilitation is the process by which strategies are employed in the promotion, maintenance and restoration of an individual’s physical, psychological and social wellbeing, and encompasses variations in age and health status. On the programme you will review the theories and science that underpins rehabilitation and exercise. The core subjects, combined with a choice of elective modules, are designed to equip you with knowledge and skills to work in national and global health and well-being organisations.
