This course prepares you for an exciting career path. It will equip you with the skills to work at the cutting edge of technology within the medical sector. Diagnostics play a vital role in every patient's care pathway and for approximately 90% of all patients, this will involve some form of diagnostic imaging performed by radiographers. By studying Radiography at Keele you will benefit from integrating with other healthcare students within the faculty, promoting the importance of working in a multidisciplinary team. Not only will you learn the techniques to produce accurate and timely diagnostic images, you will also learn to understand and manage the patient’s needs, delivering evidenced based care safely and effectively. You will learn about the science and technology of diagnostic imaging and how this impacts this dynamic field of clinical practice. You will also benefit from integrating with healthcare students from other professions in the faculty, promoting the importance of working in a multidisciplinary team. When on placement, you will learn in a variety of clinical settings such as the University Hospital of North Midlands, which is suggested to boast one of the largest and busiest Imaging Departments in England. As a radiography graduate from Keele, you will have the skills and knowledge that you will need not only to set out on your chosen career but also the foundations to build on this through continuous professional development to reach your career aspirations in this exciting and dynamic field of practice. Radiography students are currently eligible to apply for financial support via the NHS Learning Support Fund. This comprises of an annual grant of £5,000 which is non-repayable. You may also be eligible for additional financial support on top of this grant. Standard Qualification Requirements

To include A-level Biology, Human Biology, Chemistry or Physics. To exclude General Studies and Critical Thinking. A Pass in Science Practical will be required if taking A-level Biology, Chemistry or Physics (England).

122 UCAS Tariff points including 30 Level 3 credits at Distinction. 15 Level 3 credits are required in Human Biology/ Chemistry/ Physics.

To include Higher level 6 in Biology, Chemistry or Physics.
