Physiotherapists play a vital role in healthcare and are actively engaged in a broad range of career paths from clinical practice through to leadership and management roles. The physiotherapy course at Keele will help you develop high standards of academic and professional competence, combined with inter-professional learning alongside other healthcare profession students, to promote an awareness of the present and future demands in healthcare. Our exciting 4 year Master's level programme will develop your clinical, leadership, management and research skills to meet the demands and challenges of current healthcare. You will learn how to promote, maintain and restore an individual’s physical well-being through both academic, clinical and practical teaching. Following the completion of this course, you will be eligible for registration with the Health and Care Professions Council. Our course embraces a vision of patient-centred care within a wide range of healthcare settings, and you will gain invaluable experience in public and private sector based clinical, rehabilitation and sport environments. You will study in inclusive and supportive learning environments, that encourage reflection and that are enriched by case-based and evidence-based learning.You will be taught by highly experienced lecturers, clinicians and leading researchers in physiotherapy. You will spend time on clinical placement throughout the programme - the volume of practice hours along with our leadership and management modules will enhance your skillset and prepare you for your future career. As a Physiotherapy student, you may be eligible for an annual grant of £5,00 to help cover your living costs through the NHS Learning Support Fund. International applicants

Standard Qualification Requirements

To include A-level Biology, Human Biology or Physical Education at grade B or above. To exclude General Studies and Critical Thinking. A Pass in Science Practical will be required if taking A-level Biology (English).

At least 45 at Level 3 (15 of these to include topics relating to Human Biology, Anatomy and Physiology). Maths and English GCSE at grade 4 (or grade C), these should normally be obtained prior to application.

To include Higher level Biology at 6 or above.

In one of the following: Applied Human Biology, Health and Social Care, Sport or Sport and Exercise Science or Applied Science (which must include Physiology of Human Body Systems optional module). If you are not taking one of these BTEC's then you will require A level Physical Education, Biology or Human Biology at grade B.
