Set in 600 acres of countryside in North Staffordshire, we have one of the largest and most beautiful campuses in Britain. We’re proud to be No.2 in England for Student Satisfaction with Course (Guardian University League Table, 2020), investing more than £140m in our campus in the last ten years, including £45m new science laboratories. In 2021 we were proud to be awarded Sustainability Institution of the Year at the prestigious Green Gown Awards as part of our mission to become a carbon neutral campus by 2030. We're committed to supporting you to achieve your career goals, and have a dedicated Careers and Employability team who can assist you to navigate your options beyond Keele.
Our Psychology and Music Production course will develop the technical knowledge and creative expertise you'll need for a career in the music industry, whilst exploring psychology questions such as why we behave in the ways we do. You'll gain hands-on industry experience through work placement opportunities and graduate with a Psychology degree accredited by the British Psychological Society.
In Music Production you will develop knowledge in sound recording, audio design, digital sampling, programming, mixing, mastering and producing sound. You will also examine the cultural contexts in which sound is produced for and consumed in various media.
The psychology component of the course leads to a degree that is British Psychological Society accredited, exploring why humans think, feel, communicate and act in the ways that they do. You will work alongside academic staff on research projects from brain electrophysiology to studies on alcohol, and from conflict resolution and forgiveness to how young people respond to advertising. You will learn to apply psychology in situations ranging from negotiating personal relationships to influencing judgments about matters of global significance such as climate change.
