Set in 600 acres of countryside in North Staffordshire, we have one of the largest and most beautiful campuses in Britain. We’re proud to be No.2 in England for Student Satisfaction with Course - Guardian University League Table, 2020, investing more than £140m in our campus in the last ten years, including £45m new science laboratories. In 2021 we were proud to be awarded Sustainability Institution of the Year at the prestigious Green Gown Awards as part of our mission to become a carbon neutral campus by 2030. We're committed to supporting you to achieve your career goals, and have a dedicated Careers and Employability team who can assist you to navigate your options beyond Keele.
Explore how business enterprises work in tandem with popular media and culture and develop a range of theoretical, practical and creative skills by learning how organisations operate and achieve success.
The Business Management and Media programme at Keele combines learning about the practicalities of business management with critical insights into the power of media. By looking closely at phenomena such as advertising and social networking, you will learn how these can influence individuals and societies. You will pay particular attention to how media, communications and creative practice works in the context of management, looking at how businesses operate in terms of marketing, finance and human resource management, as well as how they interface with social, cultural and political contexts.
In particular, you will understand how businesses communicate with their audiences, and how they interact with, and even help to create, aspects of culture through branding, strategy and information management. This course may be combined with a placement year, the opportunity to study abroad and the chance to acquire and develop skills in international languages.
