Course Summary

**Why study at Hull?** First, your work placement is already built into your degree. So you get to apply the scientific theory of physiology, psychology and biomechanics with hands-on experience. You can tap into our close links with Hull City, Hull KR and Hull FC: all three clubs have former Hull students working for them. Plus the NHS, City Health Care Partnership, First Step Sport, Body Type Nutrition, Hull Sport and many local schools. And, of course, our partners Team GB – more on them later… Second, you’ve got some of the best facilities in the industry on your doorstep. Like our Health and Human Performance Lab, Environmental Chamber and Exercise Physiology Labs. And then there’s our new £16-million sports centre, and the opportunity to join one or more of the 50 Athletic Union clubs run by the students’ union. Third, you join a university that invests in your potential. Each year, we award scholarships on our Talented Athlete Programme. As well as a cash award, you get personal support to suit you and your sport. Fourth, you learn from tutors who work with both elite-level sports performers and NHS patients. As well as FIFA, the International Olympic Committee and the World AntiDoping Agency. And fifth – the big one – you join the only university in the UK to have an official partnership with Team GB. What does that mean for you? It means opportunities you can’t get anywhere else. Elite athletes and industry experts giving guest lectures and seminars, possible internships, and more. Plus in your final year, you get to decide what you want to study. You can follow your passions and interests in psychology, biomechanics, physiology or nutrition and choose whether you want to focus on health and exercise, or sports and performance. Add it all up, and you’ll leave here a well-rounded sports graduate with standout industry experience. Just what you need to pursue a truly rewarding career. The foundation year is designed to boost your skills and knowledge if you don't quite meet our academic entry requirements. **Official Team GB partners** Did you know that the University of Hull is the official University Partner of Team GB? Our united belief is that anyone, with the right opportunities ahead and a dedicated team behind, can achieve extraordinary things. This is what our partnership with Team GB is built on. Extraordinary is in you – and we’ll help you find it. What does this mean for you? It means that whether you’re studying sports science, or marketing, or logistics, or healthcare, or engineering, you’ll be able to gain invaluable experience through this unique partnership. We are working with Team GB to create opportunities for volunteering and work experience, to get involved with meet-and-greet sessions with Olympians, host on-campus talks from guest speakers and so much more. Some of our students recently helped Team GB athletes get their kit ready to compete in preparation for the Minsk 2019 European Games. It’s an extraordinary partnership, and you won’t find it anywhere else. Find out more at hull.ac.uk/teamgb
