This course is aimed at people who work or who wish to work in the TV and Film industries. Units focus on the creative and technical aspects of TV and film. When undertaking practical assessments, you are expected to perform to an industry standard and use your own initiative to research required topics.
The programme is designed to prepare you for employment in the exciting world of TV and Film and its related industries, such as audio production, broadcast, marketing and PR. You will also undertake many industry related enrichment visits such as post production houses, film and TV sets and tours to enhance your learning experience.
Course Details - Modules
Specialist units will develop your skills, knowledge and understanding relevant to specific creative activities in TV and film production and the creation of your own professional portfolio. The modules include: Individual Project (Pearson Set); Creative Media Industry; Professional Practise; Film and Television Practises (Industry); Film Studies (Film Theory); Light and Sound (Production design); Film and Video Editing (Post Production); Audio Technologies (Post Production); and Field trips and industry talks.
You will experience a range of exciting opportunities to enhance your portfolio and gain creative experience in the development of commercial products and to develop content for external clients, as part of work experience and portfolio building.

Standard Qualification Requirements
GCSE English Language and mathematics at Grade C/4 or above are required. Functional skills level 2 will also be accepted.
Other qualifications that will be considered for entrance include an NVQ level 3, a VRQ level 3 and a UAL Extended Diploma.
Mature students are welcome to apply, with no formal qualification, as long as they have a minimum of three years relevant industry experience.
