Three dimensional design involves the design and prototyping of functional consumer products, objects, jewellery and accessories, models, furniture, interiors and environments (civic, public and commercial spaces).
Computer Aided Design is integral to the visualisation of ideas as is the exploration of the properties of materials and processes. The course content reflects this definition, enabling you to build a portfolio of design work and skills depending on your individual interests and ambitions. Throughout the programme, you are supported and encouraged whilst taking part in work placements and building relationships within the design industry.
This course provides a stand-alone qualification with the opportunity to progress onto either the second or final year of a BA/BSc honours top-up course at the University of Hertfordshire, if you want to, and you won’t need to apply through UCAS again. Progression is dependent on your results.
