MA (Hons) Business and Finance at Edinburgh Business School explores the interface between business and finance and the impact financial decision-making can have on business performance and management. It achieved 94% Student Satisfaction in NSS 2019. This joint degree programme is particularly suited to students who wish to gain a firm grounding in business management coupled with specialist insight into finance and financial operations of businesses and organisations. **Bloomberg Business and Finance Lab** In 2019, Edinburgh Business School at Heriot-Watt opened a Bloomberg Business and Finance Lab in our brand new GRID Building. This state-of-the-art facility provides business students at our Edinburgh campus with access to actual, real-time data and business workflows from global organisations and markets. In practice, our Bloomberg Lab gives students the chance to analyse financial data and conduct experimental research in strategic areas such as Consumer Decision Making, Strategic Management, Supply Chain and Marketing. **Go Global with Business and Finance** The Edinburgh Business School delivers this degree across Heriot-Watt’s three main campuses in Edinburgh, Dubai and Malaysia, meaning that students on this degree can transfer between international campuses for one semester or more. **Accreditation** Heriot-Watt University is accredited as a Bloomberg Experiential Learning Partner, recognising us as a leader in experiential learning in the area of finance.

Standard Qualification Requirements

For entry to Year 2: ABB including at least one of the following: Accountancy, Business, Economics, Maths.

HNC in a relevant subject with B in graded unit for entry to Year 1. For Year 2 entry: HNC Accounting with A in graded unit.

For Year 2 entry: HND Accounting with BBB in graded units. For Year 3 entry: HND Accounting with AAA in graded units.

including at least one of the following: Accountancy, Business, Economics, Maths plus AABB at Higher for entry to Year 2.

For entry to Year 2: A total of 34 points including at least one of the following: Accountancy, Business, Economics, Maths at Higher Level 5.

in a relevant subject (Business/Accountancy/Finance preferred) for entry to Year 1. For entry to Year 2: DDM in relevant subject (Business/Accountancy/Finance preferred).

We operate contextual admissions defined by our Fair Access Policy which may mean entry requirements are flexible. We accept a wide range of other qualifications from the UK, Europe and International countries. Level 1 entry is required in order to gain maximum exemptions from accountancy bodies e.g. ACCA and ICAS.
