Course Details - Modules

On this course, you will cover a wide variety of theoretical and practical development skills. You will gain skills in identifying and exploiting vulnerabilities in computer networks and systems, as well as learning how to protect them against hacker attacks. You will combine your interest in forensics, computer networks and security to become the cyber security professional of the future. The unit combinations and the list of optional units are: Mandatory Units: Computing Research Project (Pearson-set) Business Intelligence Cryptography Forensics Information Security Management Optional units Cloud Computing Network Security Actual optional units may be subject to change. Satisfactory completion of Level 4 Higher National Certificate in relevant computing-related subjects with a good attendance and an excellent College report. External applicants will be considered subject to matching of HNC units and satisfactory references. All students who are non-native English speakers and who have not undertaken their final two years of schooling in English, must demonstrate capability in English at a standard equivalent to IELTS 5.5; Reading and Writing must be at 5.5 or equivalent. Mature students with appropriate related industry experience are encouraged to apply.
