Course Summary

This course is unique in its design as you will become a member of our design studio Blueorange. Blueorange is a live design studio delivering work to clients daily. From day one you will be assigned live client projects and real client briefs, giving you the experience of working with clients and developing your employment and communication skills. Throughout this course, you will be supported to develop your creative ability and technical knowledge through a wide range of briefs and projects. You will gain an extensive understanding of the design process and professional behaviours. You will understand how to develop your own creative concepts, learn technical skills and produce finished design work both printed and digitally. You will work in our industry standard design studio with current industry software. This course will prepare you for a career in the exciting and fast-paced world of Graphic Design.

GCSE grades A* to C and/or 9 to 4 (or equivalent) or Level 2 Functional Skills in Math and English may be considered, 16-64 UCAS points from AS and A-Levels or Level 3 qualification in related subjects or, Access to HE Diploma Mature (over 21) students, who do not meet these academic qualifications but have relevant work or life experience will be considered. Non-native English speakers or those who have not studied the final two years of school in English, will take college assessments in English and Maths. Applicants are expected to attend an interview. You should bring a portfolio of your work E-portfolios are also acceptable.
