Focus on gaining practical experience, with everything from your modules to your assessments designed in line with industry, to ensure you hit the ground running once you graduate. You could find yourself leading an assessment centre on campus, or pitching an idea for a new start-up with the help of our innovation, careers and enterprise team. You’ll develop the business skills and experience that employers are looking for. Everything you’ll study has been informed by industry. Whether that’s in events, marketing, and facility management, or even as an app developer or a business-leader, career opportunities are diverse. For the duration of this course we’ll register you as a student member of CIMSPA (Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity). Course Details - Modules

Our modules are developed regularly to reflect student and industry demands, ensuring you’re well prepared to enter skilled employment on graduation. The majority of courses are comprised of both compulsory and optional modules, the latter of which you'll be able to choose from to suit your interests and career goals. Most courses also include work placement learning, to help you gain essential experience for your future. Modules include: Personal Management and Development, Introduction the Sports Industry, Understanding the Business and Economic Environment, Contemporary Issues in Sport Management, Introduction to Technology in Sport, Introduction to the Principles of Marketing, Research in Professional Practice, Professional Placement Experience, Dissertation. Modules are sometimes subject to change. Optional modules change each year - you can attend introductory sessions before deciding which ones to study. Standard Qualification Requirements

Typical offer is CCC-BBC or equivalent. This must include a minimum of two A Levels.

Typical offer is 96-112 UCAS tariff points in Scottish Highers. This must include a minimum of two Highers.

Typical offer is 96-112 UCAS tariff points in an Access to Higher Education Diploma.

Typical offer is 96-112 UCAS tariff points in an IB Diploma, to include a minimum of two highers at H3 or above. This must also include Maths and English Language at a minimum of Standard Level S3 if equivalent GCSE's have not been obtained.

Typical offer is a MMM-DMM in an Extended Diploma or equivalent in a relevant subject.

Typical offer is 96-112 UCAS tariff points in the Irish Leaving Certificate. This must include a minimum of two Highers. This must also include Maths and English Language at a minimum of Ordinary Level.

In addition to the above Level 3 qualifications, a minimum of 5 GCSE A* to C, (or 9 to 4 where numeric grades are being awarded), including English Language and Mathematics are required. We welcome applications from mature students (aged 21 and over) and do not necessarily require the same academic qualifications as school leaving applicants. We may interview mature applicants and those with non-traditional qualifications. If you don't meet our tariff points requirement we will still consider your application and may be able to offer you a place on an alternative programme. Each application is considered on its own merits and we will consider combinations of the above mentioned qualifications or equivalent.
