Our extended mathematics course will give you the advanced mathematical methods, skills and techniques you need to build a successful career in mathematics.
Topics covered on this extended course include numerical mathematics, problem-solving and mathematical thinking, statistics and the use of mathematical software. If you're interested in teaching, you can apply for the Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme, which helps you gain valuable classroom experience.
The course includes an initial foundation year, which provides the skills you need to make the most of your degree. In subsequent years, you follow the curriculum of our three-year course. The degree is accredited by the Institute of Mathematics and its Applications, the UK's chartered professional body for mathematicians. In the 2019 Guardian University Guide, our mathematics courses were ranked in the top 10 in the UK.
