Course Summary
This course has been developed to meet the needs of local industry in this critical field. The programme covers the key aspects of how to create systems, products and services that are sustainable and to limit adverse effects on the environment.
Part of the Welsh Degree Apprenticeship scheme, the course is fully funded provided you are employed in Wales for 51% of the time. Degree apprenticeships are an excellent way to up skill existing staff or to add new talent into your business.
As with all Engineering programmes the first year gives a foundation in engineering fundamentals in order to succeed in your careers. Modules and teaching in this industry focused degree are built around your own workplace. Each level or the degree has a project which acts as a capstone to your learning and allows you to apply your knowledge to real-world problems.

In the second year you will focus more on the core subject of the degree with specific modules in sustainability and renewable energy. The second capstone project requires you to undertake an environmental feasibility study in your workplace. This industry focused project will enable the business to see the progression of your knowledge and show how to make improvements to processes to increase sustainability

The final year of the degree aims to further converge the content of the programme towards sustainability and efficiency and low carbon energy.
