This programme covers the skills and knowledge that can be applied to a range of animal management industries, particularly in the areas of substantial and varied animal collections. A focus on the key aspect of species conservation, within a captive setting, promoting natural environments and behaviours to support conservation efforts. This programme requires students to undertake 300 hours of work placement, 150 of which will be undertaken in the colleges licenced and BIAZA accredited wildlife and conservation park in the first year.

Year 1 (Level 4) Core Modules include

• Animal Anatomy and Physiology,
• Introduction to Business,
• Interpretive Enclosure Design
• Practical Animal Health and Husbandry.
Elective modules, students would elect one of the following,
• Ecological Conservation Skills
• Animal Behaviour.
Year 2 (Level 5) Core Modules include
• Skills for Research,
• Collections Management
• Collections Husbandry
• Introduction to Conservation Genetics.
Elective modules, students would elect two of the following,
• Incubation and Rearing,
• Training and learning theory
• Conservation Education.
