**Why an Integrated Foundation Stage?**
An Integrated Foundation Stage starts your degree studies with a year spent learning the skills required to progress to a full honours degree. Alongside an introduction to Creative Advertising, you'll develop valuable study skills, communication, team work and problem-solving techniques which help to build your confidence and prepare you for the rest of your course.
**Why Creative Advertising?**
Our Creative Advertising degree equips you with the skills to successfully develop campaigns across digital, social, TV and print media, along with professional contacts to help launch your career. You’ll develop skills in art direction, copywriting, photography, design and moving image, as well as a strong understanding of the importance of brand identity and innovation in the market. With opportunities to work on live briefs, gain experience and pitch ideas to top agencies such as McCann, Ogilvy & Mather, Publicis and Saatchi & Saatchi, our graduates stand out from the competition. There’s also the chance to showcase work and make key industry contacts at D&AD’s New Blood exhibition, London (additional costs may apply, see course web page for details).
You’ll draw on the expertise of accomplished lecturers, with experience of working for global brands such as Nike, Disney, LEGO and Superdry. You’ll even have the chance to gain recognition for your work and follow in the footsteps of previous students who have won international awards, such as YCN Professional Awards, the Gold Award at the Roses Awards, Chip Shop Awards, the Shelf Awards, Creative Conscience Awards and the DMA Breakthrough Award. Our new Design Centre, complete with a dedicated advertising studio and boardroom, offers a special collaborative, creative environment where innovation and talent can develop and thrive. You’ll also benefit from state-of-the-art facilities and industry-standard Adobe CC software.
**Why University of Gloucestershire?**
Join us and you'll benefit from professional-standard facilities in the beautiful surroundings of Cheltenham and Gloucester. Our vibrant and tight-knit community of over 10,000 students and staff paired with a wide variety of courses means you'll have the best of both worlds – a diverse community of sports clubs, societies and activities while also benefiting from specialist lecturers who value you as an individual.
Who Cares? We do. We care about our students and the planet. We listened to what our students value most, turning our prospectus digital and providing opportunities for them to protect the planet and move on to study in an environment that works hard to support future generations. As a result, we’re proud that the University of Gloucestershire has been judged the UK’s most sustainable university.
Our students never tire of finding inspiration here in the dynamic county of Gloucestershire, home to over 45 festivals every year, including 2000trees, Wychwood and the world-famous Cheltenham Literature festival. Many students gain valuable skills and experience working at these events alongside their studies.
**After the course**
Your story with us doesn’t end at graduation. Through our innovative Your Future Plan scheme, you'll be supported to become the graduate you want to be, making industry connections and taking part in placements and field trips that offer invaluable experience outside the lecture theatre.
**Experience an open day**
Book a place at an open day at www.glos.ac.uk/BookAnOpenDay. Our open days have been designed to inform you, inspire you, and help you make the right decision about your next step. It’s your chance to see the university for yourself, get a real insight into what we're about and meet your potential course tutors and lecturers. Our friendly student ambassadors will also be on hand to show you round your campus.
