**Why an Integrated Foundation Stage?**
An Integrated Foundation Stage starts your degree studies with a year spent learning the skills required to progress onto a full honours degree. Alongside an introduction to Business and Management, you will develop valuable study skills, communication, team work and problem-solving techniques which help to build your confidence and prepare you for the rest of your course.
**Why Business and Management?**
Become a manager and leader equipped with the skills and commercial insight to make a real difference in the ever-changing world of business. Accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), our Business and Management course gives you the opportunity to develop essential skills, knowledge and experience whilst completing a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management as part of your studies.
In your first year, you’ll gain solid grounding in all aspects of business and management. In your second year, you will develop your live project management skills exploring alternative approaches to planning, execution, and operations and learn how project management success can be judged. In your final year you will take part in a management consultancy module, where you will have the unique opportunity to experiment in simulated consultancy exercises, before applying what you’ve learnt in a live consultancy project for a business.
You’ll draw on the expertise of lecturers with extensive professional credentials and research experience, as well as learning from inspiring industry guest speakers. You will also take advantage of the cutting-edge facilities at our brand-new, state-of-the-art, Gloucestershire Business School.
You will also have the option to choose a year-long placement in industry. Examples of just a few of the renowned companies our students have worked for include Warner Media, IBM, Panasonic, GE Capital, GE Aviation, Sophos, John Lewis and Partners and British Airways.
