Course Summary

A Civil Engineer helps to make some of the most innovative structures in the world – the infrastructure for transport, energy, industry and commerce is the result of civil engineering. The programme is designed to produce graduates as comfortable with the engineering and technical aspects of the industry as they are with contracts management and planning. Site visits are organised throughout the programme and have recently included the M74 motorway extension, the White Cart flood prevention scheme, new Forth Crossing and Whitelee Wind Farm. Students can attend a five-day study trip to an exciting venue in Europe, linked to one of our Erasmus university partners.
