This programme is designed for students who wish to upgrade their skills and knowledge to progress professionally in the field of Health and Social Care. Students will develop an understanding of the core skills, values and issues that underpin effective practice and provision of services. They will be able to identify strategies to improve health and well-being and to demonstrate leadership and assessment skills in their area of practice.

Part-time students will study four modules each year: Year One Modules Personal Development Planning Body in Balance Workplace Contexts Practioner Values Relationships & Care Approaches to Social Care Year Two Modules Managing Self & Others Social Care Policy Social Inclusion Communication & Collaborative Working Evidence Based Practice Clinical Skills
