How have events of the past shaped the way we trade? What is the political, social, economic and cultural impact of historical events? What can we learn from the past, and how can we predict the future of our economy? Our course gives you a solid education the relationship between modern history and economics. We expand your knowledge of the history of Britain, Europe and our world from 1500 to present day, whilst also developing your understanding of economics.
On this course you spend equal time studying history-related and economics-related modules to aid a greater understanding of the world we live in, and to improve your ability to absorb, analyse and assess the information we have.
You spend your third year studying abroad allowing you to experience other cultures and languages, to broaden your degree socially and academically, and to demonstrate to employers that you are mature, adaptable, and organised.
