Global Studies with Business Management (Including Placement Year)
Course Summary
The challenges facing today’s world are profoundly international. From the migrant crisis to global warming, contemporary challenges require graduates who bring a global perspective and broad skills to the workplace. Our course gives you the opportunity to study the unique combination of Global Studies and management.
With our BA Global Studies with Business Management you’ll explore a range of subjects so that you develop the widest possible understanding of complex global issues whilst obtaining a grounding in management.
At Essex we train our students to be fearless and independent, to question everything and to draw on the broadest possible range of facts and ideas.
Based in our Interdisciplinary Studies Centre (ISC), you will have a broad mix of humanities and social science topics to choose from, including modules covering history, sociology, literature, film, philosophy, and art history.
Essex has more start-up businesses than any other county in the UK. We teach you to take control of your career in business and create ideas, products and services with real value, and with our global understanding of business in established and developing markets, you'll have the best foundation for your future career.
You also spend a year on placement in which you gain relevant work experience within an external business or organisation, giving you a competitive edge in the graduate job market.
