Open to UK and EU students only, our BSc Accounting (including foundation year) is suitable for you if your academic qualifications do not yet meet our entrance requirements for an undergraduate course. This four-year course includes a foundation year (Year Zero), followed by a further three years of undergraduate study. Our compulsory English language and academic skills module supplements your academic subjects. Accounting informs almost all areas of business, from strategy to outsourcing and operational planning to environmental policies. From an undergraduate accounting degree at Essex you gain a firm understanding of the financial drivers underpinning business leadership, strategy, planning, governance and ethics. All applicants must also hold GCSE Maths at grade C/4 or above (or equivalent). We may be able to consider a pass in Level 2 Functional Skills Maths where you cannot meet the requirements for Maths at GCSE level.
