With government and organisations increasing their cyber protection budgets, it’s never been a better time to invest in the industry. We’ll work together to explore how organisations and individuals can take action to protect themselves online from cyber-attacks. In this multi-disciplinary programme, we’ll begin by understanding the fundamentals of cybercrime together with networks and operating systems. You will understand and recognise the threats to an organisation and its infrastructures. Introductions to software principles and secure software development are explored. The strategic deployment and implementation of cyber security within an organisational context is studied in secure systems architectures, whilst aspects such as network security and data security are examined. Embedded within the degree is CCNA outing and Switching and CCNA Security syllabus; adding significant value with industry leading skills and recognition. You will also develop transferrable skills in project management and quality assurance which are critical for cyber security professionals. You’ll focus on aspects of risk management, security governance and legal aspects of cyber security as well as related concepts of ethical computing.

Students who have achieved a minimum of 1 A level (or equivalent), will be exempt from the two year post GCSE requirement (as stated above) but must still hold 5 GCSEs (as stated above).
