As an energy engineer, you’ll be exploring cleaner, more efficient ways of using fossil fuels, while investigating and specifying the design of renewable energy developing systems using renewable and sustainable resources, such as solar and wind energy. You will also look at how local climate impacts on the design and selection of these systems, and consider their life cycle and carbon footprint. Pass Access to HE Diploma in a related subject with 45 credits overall with minimum 39 Credits at Merit & 6 at Distinction including Maths and Science (Excluding Biology) or Technical Subject* at Level 3. English at Level 2 or equivalent.

Minimum Year 4 Entry Requirements Irish Ordinary Degree - Pass in a relevant subject with 50% overall, with minimum 50% at first sitting in all final year subjects. *Science and Technical Subjects Accepted: Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Engineering, Mathematics, Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Technological Studies/Engineering Science, Design & Manufacture, Chemistry.
