Religious Education explores the ultimate life questions of meaning, purpose and value. If you want to understand your place, your society, your community, even the geopolitical scene, you need to understand religion. It applies to questions big and small – medical ethics, emotive topics, relationship issues, prejudice and discrimination. On this degree you will study religion as a modern, living phenomenon, visiting centres representing all six major world faiths and spending time in schools to develop the practical skills to become an excellent RE teacher and gain Qualified Teacher Status. Our students are open-minded and are encouraged to use imaginative approaches to communicate impartial and considered views.
