Course Summary

As the number of children and adults who have a range of health conditions rises, the need for registered nurses to have the ability to care for people of all ages across a variety of care settings is increasing. To meet this demand, this stimulating integrated masters degree has been developed for caring, compassionate and highly motivated individuals who aspire to register as a qualified nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council in two fields of nursing. Through your studies you will gain practical skills and experience while developing the leadership, problem-solving and confidence to provide the highest standards of integrated nursing care for a wide range of patient groups. You will graduate with the ability to think critically and apply the evidence-based knowledge associated with masters level study that will enhance your career opportunities. On successful completion of the programme, your final award will reflect the fields of nursing you have chosen. Course Details – Assessment Method

Assessment in both theory and practice is continuous, assessed against national outcomes and generic and field competencies, with students required to demonstrate evidence of their achievement. A range of assessment of theory procedures is in place including assignments, seminar presentations, advanced notice examinations, online learning activities, case studies and portfolio work.
