Nursing is one of the most rewarding careers to enter and on qualification registered nurses are employed in a variety of settings. Adult nurses work with people who have a diverse range of health conditions, some of whom will be facing the most challenging life events. As an adult nurse you will lead, coordinate and deliver care to clients and their families and carers at home, in the community or in hospital. During the programme, you will gain an understanding of the needs of adults through exploring theories, concepts and topics which you can then apply to the field of adult nursing. The degree prepares you for key roles in the prevention and impact of physical health conditions, as well as leading improvements in health and social care. With access to practice learning placements, this degree enables you to register as a qualified adult nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC), having developed the knowledge, skills and attitudes needed to lead, coordinate and deliver care in a safe, compassionate and effective way.
