This innovative and intensive integrated Masters degree will provide you with the skills, knowledge and practical experience required for a career as an integrated mental health nursing and social work practitioner in a range of health and social care settings. Delivered alongside our partners in the Cheshire & Merseyside Social Work Teaching Partnership and conferring eligibility for two professional awards, the course combines perspectives from health, social care, education and related disciplines to ensure you graduate able to work highly effectively in a multi-disciplinary environment. If you can demonstrate a clear commitment to becoming an integrated nursing and social work practitioner, while also having the ability to recognise the perspectives of service users, their families and carers, then this is the programme for you.

These include essays, presentations, text analysis, group work, portfolios, carers’ assessments, video/audio diaries, role plays and exams. Practice learning is also assessed by appropriately qualified Nursing mentors and Social Work practice educators.

A combination of A Level and BTEC awards may also be accepted.

Please note, the above represents an example of how you can achieve the required number of tariff points, however you can also achieve this with other combinations as long as you achieve at least two B grades. A combination of A Level and BTEC awards may also be accepted.

No specific subjects are required. You will also need GCSE English Language and GCSE Mathematics at Grade C or Grade 4 or above (or equivalent). Eligible candidates must provide evidence of study within the three years prior to application.

Please note, the above represents an example of how you can achieve the required number of tariff points, however you can also achieve this with other combinations.

You will be expected to achieve the required number of tariff points, to include a minimum of five subjects at Grade H1-H3.

As long as you have a minimum of two A Levels (or equivalent), there is no maximum number of qualifications that we will accept UCAS points from. This includes additional qualifications such as the Welsh Baccalaureate and Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), AS Levels that haven’t been continued to A Level, and General Studies AS or A Level awards.
